Every once in a while, especially after a major project is completed, I like to take some time to reflect on my successes and opportunities for improvement. Here is what I’ve learned lately.
-
Your life only gets better when you get better. Your outer world will always reflect your inner world. If you want to improve the quality of your outer world, you must work on your inner self. And because there is no limit to how much better you can get, there is no limit to how much better you can make your life.
-
It doesn’t matter where you are; all that matters is where you’re going. Don’t allow yourself to focus on what is currently happening in your experience, nor get bogged down by events that have happened in your past. Learn from them and let them go. Resolve to keep yourself future focused. Your future is limited only by your ability to imagine – so there really are no limits to what you can achieve.
-
Within every problem or difficulty, there is the seed of an equal or greater benefit. There is always contrast – things that come up to let us know what we don’t want. Accept this and look for the good in every problem. Train yourself to quickly recognize the valuable lesson in every adversity or setback. If you look for it, you will find it – trust me!
-
You can learn anything you need to learn to achieve any goal you can set for yourself. Your imagination shows you what is possible because if you can imagine it, you can accomplish it. That’s how God created us. Furthermore, you are a learning organism – no matter how old or intelligent you are or are not! If you have the ability to dream it, you can learn what you need to know to make it happen. The only question is, are you willing to put forth the effort?
-
Anything you truly want you will get. How long it takes depends on how long you resist doing the things necessary to accomplish it.
Until next time,
Live Joyfully!

Debra,
Awesome post. Reading one of your points reminds me of a Native American phrase I learned once that I try to remember when I have made a ‘mistake’ - the phrase is ‘mistakes are lessons’. What a positive outlook! Love it.
Are you back from Montana? Looking forward to your photos!!
Thanks, Jen. Actually, we are in Montana right now and I am getting ready to post some photos. We will be here and I will be posting from here all week.
It’s wonderful to see some positive thoughts here.
Thanks, Pradeep. It’s wonderful to be appreciated!
