Here’s a question.
Based on your current behaviors and attitudes, if someone were to ask your friends, family, and co-workers what they thought your values, mission, and purpose were, how would they respond? Would they be able to reflect an accurate image of the person you are trying to project? Would they tell of the person you think you are?
How do the people you work with, whether they are co-workers or clients, assess the quality of your character and the values you live by? In other words, do your actions reflect your mission?
Something to think about, isn’t it?
Here’s a huge challenge for you. Ask two or three of your most trusted co-workers, friends, or even clients if you have the courage, to write down a brief description of you and your purpose. Ask people who have known you and worked with you for awhile and someone relatively new to you.
If you don’t get the description you wanted, it’s not their fault; it’s yours. It is your responsibility to show others who and what you are about. Focus on what you want and what is important to you. When you do, your actions will reflect that focus, and others will become keenly aware of your purpose.
Why would you want to put yourself through such scrutiny? Personally, I like to know what vibration I’m sending out into the universe. Sure, I mess up as much as the next human, but people who have known me for a little while will be able to give me an accurate picture of what I’m showing to the world. It’s a non-physical reflection of my essence, and I like to know what I’m “giving off.”
So now you have your personal development challenges for the day – learn, grow, and most importantly, enjoy!

Hey Debra,
I read the same concept from Tony Buzan’s Brain Child. Do you dare to ask your kids to write or draw what they think about you?
My son is still 16-month old so I can’t ask him yet but I will
Oooooh - that’s good, Aldian. I guess I never thought of that because I don’t have children, but I’ve witnessed my friends’ children often express what they observe in their parents through their words or actions.
Thanks for sharing that golden nugget!
