If Self-Esteem became personified, what would it write in its journal?  Here’s my guess.

I am the greatest creation ever.  Since the beginning of time there has never been, nor will there ever be, another being as unique as I am.  I am wonderful.

Yet, as wonderful as I am and feel, I have a drive to become even better.  And I know I can because the most wonderful part about me is the fact that I can change based solely on my decision to do so.  When something in my life experience no longer serves me, I move toward and accept something better.

I did not come to this earth by chance or to just observe others; I came here to contribute to the evolution of this time.  My mission is to advance human nature in some way; to teach, to thrill, to research, to explore, to expand.

I can create anything and everything I want with my hands, my eyes, my ears, my heart, and, most importantly, my mind.  I am so wonderful; the greatest creation ever.

Not only can I create anything I want, but I am the only one who can create it for me exactly the way I want it.  No one but me can create my destiny, my reality, or my now.

I am rare.  I am the only being with my exact make-up.  Rare things are valuable, therefore I am valuable.  No one else has my value.

Everyone I meet is as unique, rare, and valuable as I am, yet I keep all of my rare and wonderful qualities as well.  Therefore, I respect others and their ability to create and fulfill their missions.

Some of the other human beings I meet are here with a similar or collaborative mission to my own.  With these people I will choose to spend my time.  Others are here for purposes unknown to me, or that I have moved past, and I will simply choose to not be in their company.  If another human being chooses to not see my value, I will seek out another human who does, for it is not my purpose to convince anyone of my merit.  I see the significance in others, and they easily see my worth as well.

I am the greatest creation ever.  I have been given a mind that can create my now and perceive worlds unknown.  I am, in every moment, connected to the past, present, and future, all at once.  My unique mind can perceive and sort out all of this in less than a millisecond.  I have been created with senses that work together to allow me to easily comprehend my world and make decisions about my expansion.

I am capable of both practicality and love.  I can reason with logic and emotion.  I have the freedom to choose good or evil and the ability to focus on my greatest desires.

I am the greatest creation ever.

My challenge to you today is to compare your journal entries to this one of “Self-Esteem.”  If you need to do so, feel free to copy this one into your own journal – as often as you need, until you no longer have a need.

Well, life just keeps getting better and better.  Yesterday I was officially bestowed the honor of being the first recipient of the Conscious Website Award, granted by Immrama Institute.

“We created the Conscious Website Award to recognize outstanding websites related to personal growth, consciousness, meditation, and other similar topics.
. . . [Debra] has created an incredible resource for anyone seeking helpful and practical advice for personal development.”

As you would probably expect of me to do when someone honors me with such a compliment, I checked out the Immrama Institute website and found that in addition to being a fantastic resource on Brainwave technology and meditation, they also offer a set of meditative CD’s.  I requested a copy, and they arrived this week.

So far, I am very impressed with the literature and quality of the CD’s.  My intention is to try this technique for three to four weeks and report back to you on my results.  I am very excited about this “experiment,” and am expecting great things.

One of the greatest tributes anyone can give me is that the information in my website, seminar, or other format is “practical.”  To be honest, I wasn’t shooting for that adjective when I started my business.  My mission is to motivate, educate, and inspire others to be their best; to empower those who are ready.  In truth, I had never given much thought to the measurement of success in this venture.  Naturally, (and like everyone else), I’d like to make money for the time I spend in developing my works.  Writing, speaking, coaching, consulting, and everything else I do takes up most of my time and most people are compensated for the time they spend at work. (However unfairly that may be – but that’s another post!)

But the greatest feeling of accomplishment is when someone tells me that I changed their life in a practical way.  Whether they learned a new method for losing weight, a great way to motivate themselves, or an insightful manner to help others, something they read here motivated, educated, inspired, or empowered them to a new level of awareness and action.  That fills my heart with joy and, well; does it get any better than that?

I’d like to thank the Immrama Institute for bestowing this great honor on me, and for paying me the highest complement anyone ever could.
